The New York Post has revealed another alleged Eliot Spitzer girl: Kristin "Billie" Davis of Wicked Models, what authorities are saying is call girl operation based in Manhattan. In an article entitled "Here He Ho's Again," Post writers report that Davis was caught in the federal investigation that netted now ex-New York Governor Eliot Spitzer. Authorities say, according to the Post, that the self-promoting blond madam was the ruler of a multi-million dollar prostitution empire, pimping her call girls out for $1000 per hour on four web sites.

Authorities say they caught Davis while she was preparing to flee. The alleged Manhattan madam pleaded not guilty to money laundering and promoting prostitution in Manhattan Supreme Court March 26. In typical New York Post fashion, the report ends with the lurid tidbit that a source maintains that the 32-year-old prostitute personally serviced Eliot Spitzer.

Given all the media attention to the private affairs (made public) of Eliot Spitzer and his extramarital escapades involving prostitutes, much has been made of his political hypocrisy -- that of running and winning the New York governor's position on his attorney general record, which included extensive crackdowns on prostitution rings -- and his moral inefficiencies. Far more has been made of the fact that he betrayed his wife than the fact that he betrayed her with a person for hire (as opposed to the office-type affair). This might lead one to wonder how accepted prostitution has become.

Prostitution in itself, judged objectively, has no real moral value. It is a business transaction for services rendered. It becomes a moral issue when society places a value of right or wrong on the transaction or the act or both. Traditionally, prostitution has been held in moral high disregard. Add in religious tenets against women (or men) selling themselves and the immorality of the act and transaction becomes more socially ingrained.
