Bosch Nexxt 800 Series Front Load Washer Review, Model: WFMC8401UC

I Review This Unique Front Load Washer from the Bosch Nexxt 800 Series Product Line

Every time I have the pleasure of reviewing a new washing machine, I am completely blown away by the various features and advancements that have been placed in various washers. These washing machines are a far cry from the traditional washers that we all grew up with, and with these
advancements comes the benefits of having your clothing last twice as long as normal. The Bosch Nexxt 800 Series Front Load Washing Machine, Model: WFMC8401UC is one of the most well-built washers on the market today. The reason for this is because of its ability to protect your clothes, while at the same time, getting rid of tough stains. If you are a family, than you will love this washers ability to remove stains from your kids clothes, while still keeping the fabric integrity.

Main Product Features:

The first feature that I wish to discuss about is this washing machines overall performance quality. When you think of a washer, the word performance doesn't necessarily come to mind, but this smart washing machine is also like a computer.

With the XXTRASANITARY Washing Cycle, you will be able to sanitize your clothing within three minutes. This is made possible by the increase of water temperature, which raises all the way to 170-degrees. With this cycle 99.9% of all germs, and to keep the integrity of your fabric, the temperature is then dropped to 150-degrees after the initial burst of heat. This will completely sanitize your clothing without damaging even the most sensitive of fabrics.

Another great feature that comes within this washing machine is the Jeans Cycle. This washing cycle was designed to clean strictly denim jeans. How this cycle works is basically the washing machine will inject an exact temperature to properly clean jeans, without causing the color of your jeans to fade. Also, this cycle has the ability to extend the life of your jeans. With this wash cycle your favorite pair of jeans will be able to remain your favorite for much longer than if you washed them in a traditional washer.

Rest of my comment: ...for the moment. Our main problem now is that the washer does not seem to have any means to jump straight in to a spin cycle! Every washer I've ever had has had this capability but despite the advertised flexibility that was supposed to come with this top end unit, I cannot find any setting in the manual that says how to do this. So, if you have wet washing say from the sink that you want to spin, or if you want to hurry the machine along to get it to the spin cycle, forget it with this machine! If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know!

We've had the matching pair of washer and drier for a few months now. Initial installation did not go smoothly as the installers incorrectly attached the storage drawer to the washing machine which left it uneven/unbalanced and make it scream during the spin cycle! We insisted someone come out and look at it and had to make do with someone from lowes where we purchased it who attempted to blame it on the laundry room floor! It was obvious after getting down and looking at the attachment points that it was not attached properly. We scheduled someone from Bosch to come about a week later and I took time off work to wait for them only to get a call saying the technician couldn't come and we'd have to reschedule! At this point I hit the roof and insisted we get someone to see to it. We finally got someone from Lowes to come and reattach the drawer unit properly and the problems went away. Certainly not off to a good start with this expensive pair although they do seem ok for the mom
