Chikezie Voted Off American Idol

Chikezie was booted off last night. He will be missed by many. I don't think we will have to worry, as I feel certain some recording studio will come along and sweep him into a studio to do some recording. He is good and was climbing that hill.

It was surprising to see that Chikezie, Syesha Mercado and Jason Castro in the bottom three. I was not so surprised to see Jason as I was to see Chikezie and Syesha Mercado. Jason's performance wasn't as good as in the past. Maybe it being his 21st birthday was distraction to him. 

Chikezie was so much better than he was when starting the season. He continued to improve each week and I don't think he should have been booted off last night but the public evidently didn't like him. Someone has to go each week but I don't think it was his turn. It just wasn't the right decision.

Who would I have chosen? Perhaps it would have been Carly Smithson. Her performance wasn't as good as Chikezie's. He had the audience in his hands. Carly admitted that she wasn't as good as she could have been. Carly has been rather up and down. As I think about it I probably would have voted off Jason Castro. His performance was not as good as his competitors.

The millions out there in the audience are voting in a crazy way this year, much worse than in past years. When you think a contestant is doing well and improving, the audience votes that contestant off.

With the way the audience is voting this year I don't think there was much that Chikezie could have done to change anything. He appeared to be doing his best and the audience in front of him enjoyed his performance, as we did.

I really enjoyed watching him improve each week. Now I will be watching for a recording made by Chikezie. He is good so we will just have to wait and see what reward he will get.
