The Bride of Frankin -Wine!!

Did you ever know how something was going to end even before it began? Or at least have a pretty good idea?

If you read my other blog on Blame me, Blame me, then this will all fall into place. This same group of narrow minds, we are the best click in town clowns, join in with a fun group of people that head down to St Patty's Day Parade in Ocean City MD every March.

I didn't go last year because even the sight of them seems to still boil my blood. I mean it is bad enough I have to see them every weekend when I go to see my friends and family. But this year a friend asked me to travel down with them and I said ok I'm going to do it. I always enjoyed the celebration and there was a part of me that needed closer. Closer I got!

My stomach was turning a little as I walked from the hotel to join the group at the local bars they usually hang out in. And as I approached the "caller" from the Blame me, blame me was standing outside smoking. He spotted me crossing the sidewalk and bounced to the window to announce me through sign language and mouthing god knows what to his girl friend (the crazy one that stayed with him after all the lies), which sat inside the window at a table. Good news except for the couple from hell everyone else greeted us with open arms.

We decided to go to the next bar to meet other friends. There sitting at the bar was #3 of the click and his new girlfriend. As I sat I glanced over and he was looking at me but didn't throw his drink or yell any foul greetings. I was happy with being ignored, that is a blessing in the company of the "click".

We had a good time laughing and carrying on with the others and went to the last bar of the night and listened to a band. More people from home showed and everyone was having a good time. I who was known for a drunken social bee only had 2 drinks all night and switched to soda.

Have to disagree with ya' Toots...you ARE better than them...that's why you're the verbal fodder. Preferring the sunshine and fresh air to living in a box myself, I can empathize with you.

A lovely story full of meaning - the message should be heeded by all.
