I have been a fan of Celebrity Apprentice as long as it has been on the air. If I ever missed a show, I watched it on the Internet, as soon as it became available. Following the first season, my kids gave me the DVD season set of The Apprentice. I enjoyed the Apprentice because it gave people, who might not otherwise get the chance, the opportunity to meet with Donald Trump and show their brain power and skill.

I wasn't too excited when this season was announced as a Celebrity Apprentice. However, after hearing Donald Trump promote the show on television, I couldn't help but watch. He emphasized the importance of Celebrity Apprentice in raising money for charity. It was a worthy cause and after all, I'm hooked on The Apprentice anyway. What I thought would be a disaster turned out to be one of the best Apprentice Season's yet.

14 Celebrities began the challenge, each competing to win money for their favorite charity. When it came down to the final two, Piers Morgan and Trace Adkins were left standing. There couldn't have been a more divergent rivalry. Both men competed for good causes; Piers raised money for fallen soldiers. Trace Adkins raised money for people, children in particular with food allergies.

Both men had the heart and will to win, but for different reasons and by different means.

Trace was exemplified the All American Cowboy. On many occasions that is how Piers Morgan spoke of him. Piers admitted the final competition was between an All American with a heart of gold and a caustic Brit with a mind for making money.

The final competition was a huge, private auction in which the men were to be judged on ticket sales, auction sales, and overall performance. Trace and Piers agreed that in the final analysis the emphasis was on making money for charity. They worked well together to pull off a fabulous event.

Nice article. Pierce only won because he knew more rich people lilving in the New York City. I did not like him winning, but I guess with Donald Trump, you could not expect anything different.

I can't take your article seriously when you call Piers "The biggest jerk and loser in the history of the apprentice". Piers raised more money by a long shot, and displayed leadership just as good as Trace. The Apprentice is, and has always been, a business contest, and the goal is earning money. It sounds to me like you should go watch American Idol instead.

Trace outclassed Piers . . . . . We have enjoyed your recaps as much as the actual TV show. Thanks! ;-)

I really hope they do another Celebrity Apprentice!!! I felt so bad for Trace though. He hardly won anything for his charity.

THanks for the updated info and (judging from the comments) you wrote an article that got people talking and sharing their passions about this show. Bravo!

Piers deserved to win BUT I would have preferred it be Trace. If Piers had been just a tad less hateful and grating I might have taken his win more gracefully. Certainly he was playing for a cause dear to my heart as a retired military wife. I AM glad that he earned so much money for such a great cause.

Terrific read! Undoubtedly Piers did an amazing job, but I really wanted Trace to win!!!

I thought for sure Trump would say the Backstreet Boys were purposely making Trace's job harder with their bizarre requests. But Trump didn't say anything, so they must actually be like that. How embarrassing for them!

Like Trump would say - "It's not personal, it's business." Piers accomplished a huge fund raising effort for his charity to help injured soldiers. He is a Brit - they all act like he did. He did play the game the best of any of the celebrities. It was all about money - that was a clear goal from the start. I love Trace - and for a moment I thought Trump would call it a tie and split the money. Trace will win, too - I am going out to buy his CDs and I will download his song from iTunes for his charity. Great article and great show!

I was very disappointed, too. Remember for the next 2 weeks you can download Trace's hit "You're Gonna Miss This" on iTunes, and a portion of the download will go to his charity.
