Forex Broker: What One Is and What They Do
Contrary to popular belief, the concept of a forex broker is a relatively new one. In the past, the primary facilitators of forex trading were banks. That has, of course, changed and now there are many professionals who work as forex brokers. The expansion of this profession has been in large part due to the expansion of forex trading on the internet. Rather than having to deal with banks (and banking hours) a person can simply open an account with a forex broker online and commence trading.
Of course, the forex broker will charge a fee but - fear not - the fee isn't an outrageous one. A forex broker earns a commission in a manner that is somewhat different from the traditional stock broker. The income that the forex broker earns derives from the difference between what the buyer pays and what the seller gains from the sale. That is to say, the income the broker derives is not based on individual sales. However, it is always critical not to forget that the broker receives a payment (it is amazing how this escapes many people) and this must be taken into consideration when contemplating forex trading as it will cut into your return investment.
