If you have a large family and are looking to make group projects for mom that everyone can join in on, for Mother's Day, the following ideas are sure to be of help.

One: Create a family lottery for mom. Have everyone in the family, including Dad, write something on a piece of paper that they will do for mom. Make sure the author puts his or her name on it. You can make enough items to cover one whole week or even longer if you choose. Place the items in a container, such as a hat, jar or bucket, and each day, including Mother's Day, mom gets to draw from it. Whatever the item is that she draws, will be done that day. You can put chores on the slips of paper, such as washing dishes, washing windows, making beds, walking the dog, etc., or you can put personal items on, such as braid mom's hair, rub mom's shoulders, etc.

Two: Create a card game for mom that everyone can play. You can use family photographs for the insides of the cards or draw pictures of your own. Everyone in the family can pick their theme or part in the project. For instance, if you are making a traditional deck of cards, one person can be in charge of drawing the hearts, one the diamonds, one the spades, and one the clovers. Another person can be in charge of drawing the Aces, Kings, Queens, and Jacks. Another person can be in charge of the numbers. You can cut and paste pictures from magazines if you prefer that to drawing. Make the cards on posterboard or have pieces of paper laminated to make them sturdy and be sure that all cards have the same design on the back so no one knows which card it is after playing a few times. Also make sure all cards are created the same size. You can have dad create a nice little card case out of wood if he likes, to store them in when they are not in use.
