Cats are people too, at least when it comes to Holiday gifts. They do love them, and it is important for our feline friends , especially an in door one to have toys that stimulate their natural curiosity and provide needed exercise and a place where they can to and relax. Their toys need to be active, and sort of complicated like the ball toys below. They provide a puzzle for the cat to try and solve, by trying to get at a hidden treasure. Some of the toys come with catnip, but not all cats react to cat nip.

There is Cat Nip Gene and not all cats have it, but those that do will do anything to get their paws on it. These toys have been tested by my own three cats, and they have not been able to destroy any of them, no matter how hard they try. And if they can survive my three, they can survive anything. All mine have the Cat Nip Gene, so when they get one of the cat nip toys, they really go at it. They are also available in most pet stores as well as on line and are easy to find.

Stocking Stuffers
My cats love to get Christmas Stockings. They pull them down as fast as we put them up, and there are many small inexpensive toys and snacks that will fill them up to the top. This is great of you are giving toys to a multi cat household.

Really BAD Dog(TM) Cat Toys by Fat Cat, Inc.
These are great, small enough to fit in the stocking and they come filled with cat nip and are washable and refillable. They are dog heads in various colors and mean expressions

ToyShoppe® Sophisticat 3-Piece Mouse Cat Toys’
These little creatures are small enough for the cat to carry around easily. One of mine has one that looks like it has been through WW III and back again, but he loves it and panics if he cannot find it. So theses do become one of the cat’s favorite friends/enemies.

Rock & Roller Cat Toy
This a very simple concept, small enough to be a stocking stuffer and fun enough to keep the pet going around in circles, literally. It is a small wand, fatter in the middle than on the ends, which makes it spin and roll across the floor when the cats bat at it. And it is easy to wash.
