If you did not know that Hillary Clinton was a fighter you know it now. Clinton continues to fight for her bid as the Democratic nominee despite being asked to step aside by Senator Leahy. Clinton and her supporters continue to press forward. If the nomination was a bone it would be gnawed down to dust.

Despite Clinton winning in big swing states like Texas, Hillary Clinton has failed to pick up key support from the Democratic party members and super delegates. Even if Clinton wins Pennsylvania big she still will not have the support of her political party. A popular thought among Clinton supporters is that many of Clintons former political contacts turned their back on Clinton early in the race and they can not afford to have her win the nomination at this point. Lets face it I doubt that Senator Ted Kennedy will be on the Clinton Christmas card list this winter. Most of the Democratic super delegates and party members seemed a bit hasty in endorsing a candidate.

Despite the setbacks in the Clinton Campaign one has to admire her perseverance. Clinton held on to win the primary in Texas after a long string of loses to Barack Obama, and now she appears to be headed for a win in Pennsylvania. Why quit while the momentum is in her favor?

Democrats are afraid that the struggle between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton will force many Democrats to vote for the Republican nominee John McCain. This does appear to be a very real threat as many Clinton and Obama supporters have threatened to vote Republican if their candidate does not win the nominee. The more likely occurrence will be that a nominee will be chosen and the Democratic Party will have time to come together before the 2008 Presidential Election. There is little doubt that most Democrats would like to see a end to the war and most see McCain as another "Bush."

The big question is if Clinton successfully wins Pennsylvania and continues to pick up support will super delegates chose the person they feel best suited to go against McCain or will they make their decision based solely on primary winners?

Senator Clinton has been a fighter all along. She fought for her family, her husband, and her country many times. She practically lives under attack. Well done article!

She could be a winner or her judgment is completely whack. Remember this is the woman that said she didn't know her husband might be cheating on her when confronted with information about Monica Lewinsky (never mind the previous liaisons Bill had) and then followed up with the "right wing conspiracy" theory. AND remember she came under sniper fire in Bosnia too. Hmmm.
