Prom Music Playlist Ideas: Top 10 Slow Dance Prom Songs

When it comes to dance parties, there are certain songs which I consider an ultimate requirement to dance to. Whether it be at a middle school dance, a Christmas formal, or the senior prom, these songs fit and make these events complete. While there are many more choices that are at the top of my list, I had to narrow it down to the best of the best. The following includes my take on the 10 best songs to add to a prom play list:

10. My Whole Life Has Changed- Ginuwine

This song made my top 10 list simply because every time I hear it I recall those sixth grade dances where I was standing on one side of the room, hoping and praying that the boy I was crushing on at the moment would come ask me to dance. This is that song for me, the one that I stood listening to for many dances until that one where I was finally able to be in the arms of someone who loved me. This is a great song for Prom, because it talks about how someone new has come into your life and changed it. While the song is referring to a significant other, it can be turned into viewing it as friends who have come into your life throughout high school. Each of us has that person, or those people who entered our lives during high school made a huge impact on who we turned out to be. The friends that we bonded with and the cliques that we formed were what changed our lives, literally.
