Push your fist towards the ground and suddenly, from the back of your arm, appears a block of muscle. This muscle is known as the triceps brachii. The triceps brachii is a muscle, which consists of three heads and works in opposite of the biceps. The function of the triceps is to straighten the arm and rotate the wrist. As with the back, developing a "V" shaped back is most desirable, with the triceps there too is a desirable shape, the most desirable shape for the triceps is known as the horseshoe. An arm that has fully developed triceps muscles will appear as if a horseshoe has been placed under the skin.

How do you build the desirable horseshoe shape triceps? This will occur when each muscle in the triceps is developed, meaning performing a variety of triceps exercises, which work the entire triceps, rear triceps, inner triceps, and outer triceps.

Below are a variety of triceps exercises, which can be used to target each section of the muscle ground, in order to fully develop each portion of the triceps resulting in the desirable horseshoes shaped triceps.
