Have you wondered which cars made the list of the best of the best in family cars for 2008? Parents magazines and Edmounds.com recently did some research and some surveys on this subject. They took in factors such as: kid friendliness, comfort levels, price, and don't forget that all important gas mileage.

Here are the winners:

HONDA CR-V

Price is generally $20,700 to $29,035

Gas mileage is 20 mpg in the city limits and 27 mpg on the highway.

We are needing a bigger vechile as our family has grown by three! Thanks for the revue.. I am now going to look into the Highlander and the Outlook. I can't see me driving a Van.. I am not ready for the soccer mom look yet! LOL!
