Needless to say that the All Clad Stainless Steel Saucier Pan is one of the very few quality utensils available in the market that you can use at least for two decades. Agreed that this comes at an expensive price tag but then I don't mind paying extra for durable and user friendly every day kitchenware. As I already had a 4 quart saucier pan from the All Clad, the incredible quality of the 1 quart pan was not at all a surprise to me. The bigger pot is still functionally competent except for the relatively dull look and that is expected after nearly 18 years of service.

The 1- Quart pan is small than what it appears in the picture and I guess it is more for personal use or for cooking just for two. I would suggest this for making quick oats for breakfast or small quantity of veggies for lunch. No doubt this is an ideal pot for making sauce and soups. The round pan is ergonomically designed and the wide mouth helps in stirring the sauce. Moreover the slanting edges accelerates evaporation and the sauce thickens soon and so does the creamy soup. Once you get used to this, I bet you will love it and definitely go for bigger size All Clad Saucier Pan.

Stainless steel line from the highly acclaimed All Clad is well known for its 3 ply construction and it is this unique crafting technique that enhances the performance and improves the quality like never before. Actually a high quality thick layer of aluminum is sandwiched in between two layers of first class stainless metal. Thermal conductivity of the aluminum coupled with the special properties of stainless steel material makes it far superior to other pans. For instance the aluminum layer at the base of the pan and across the side allows it to get heated soon and does not develop any thermal spot.
