In every country, there is a form of government that matches the beliefs of either the ruler or written constitution. Not every government is the same, but they can vary in similarities. A few different types governments are communism, socialism, fascism, and bureaucracy. Each one with it's own set of rules, regulations and common laws. The United States of America is classified as "Constitution-based federal republic" with a "strong democratic tradition"[1]. China is known as the People's Republic of China and is classified as a communist state. Both government are very different from each other, but they also have a few similarities. The People's Republic of China is defined as a communist state although by political scientists, though it is quite tough to correctly label China's government[2]. A communist state, unlike plain communism, does have some states within their country. A communist state is defined by a state that is run under one-party system[3]. Although there may also be a few other parties, it is still guaranteed by the country's constitution that the communist party will always be at the top as the ruling political party[4]. The People's Republic of China, however, is slowly shifting itself into capitalism in its economic system.
The Unites States of America's form of government is immensely different when compared to that of China's. The United States of America's government is called a federal republic. In a federation, there are many single, self governing states who make their own laws, following the guidelines of the central government[5]. The term republic refers to there being a federation of states or state that does not have a monarch.
