This is a true story and the names have been changed so I won't get sued. Back round: Her boyfriend was wealthy and his wealth was given to him the old fashioned way she tells me. No his wealth was not inherited, it was just he was cheap. Dori, a cute, intelligent woman, who had enough drive to earn multiple college degrees had a "steady" who would squeeze the eagle on a coin just to hear it scream rather than spend it. Wilard P. Pincher seemed to have it all.

Wilard, though had a problem, and not just with an "OCD" for thrift. He ripped his pant's one day prior to an important business meeting. As Wilard put it, these were his "lucky pants." So he decides to ask Dori to sew them for him. It was not a thing Dori was skilled at but she wanted to help, and after all it did not appear to be complicated, so she gave it her best. The tear by the way was near the left front pocket of these pants.. Dori turned these pants on inside out and sewed the tear.

Dori had a fairly good day at her job until the telephone rang around dinner time. It was Wilard. It was not hello, that came out of Wilards mouth just a bunch of expletives about how Dori had sewn his pants pocket shut, and "she" was responsible for getting them mended by a tailor. Ultimately he agreed to pay for pants repair, but by skilled hands only, and he would have to know "how much money and how long it would be."

Well Dori felt like a fool calling around for this tightwad but did call a couple of "pro's." When our boy Wilard heard the prices he was outraged, and he had heard a buddy of his wife's was a good seamstress, and would do it a lot cheaper. She had a storefront business, and so Dori took the torn pants down there and explained to "Francis" the problem." Dori upset and embarrassed seemed to explaine the problem with these pants and and how Wilard had known "Francis" husband. Dori went on to tell Francis, fix any tear and make all the pockets look exactly a like.
