If your looking for a show that gets to the point, is actually REALITY and teaches more than just what to look for in a home, House Hunters, or its International counterpart, delivers all that and more! By channel surfing a little over a month ago I found this show and was intrigued by the reality of the show. This show goes beyond the mainstream of reality TV; did you think reality could equal high quality? Here are some reasons that House Hunters fits the bill for quality TV.

1. Buying a Home is a Necessity
Almost everyone, from the rugged American to the refined European must have a place to live. House Hunters finds folks from all walks of life. The single mom, married couple with children, hippy couple without children and laid back retirees have all been featured on the show.

2. Laws are Different in Different Areas
What’s the difference between the French side and the Dutch side of St. Maarten island? Did you know that St. Maarten is only 37 square miles? Many different laws abound throughout the world, House Hunters lets you in on what’s what in different locales.

3. Learn Little Known Facts
By watching both House Hunters, and House Hunters International, I have learn many different facts about different places. The Hollywood Hills are only one mile from the busy Sunset Strip but yet there are many species of wildlife living there among the rich and famous. If you want to live in Barcelona, be prepared to live in an old apartment or old business that was converted to an apartment.

4. Get a Taste of Life Elsewhere
Are you sure you want to move to Amsterdam? Compared to American homes, the European “flats” are extremely small, both in Spain and Holland...and throughout Europe. Take a peek at your options before you fly across the globe! House Hunters International lets us in on the secrets of buying a home abroad.

Takeaways
  • See what life is like all over the globe.
  • If you want to move overseas, be prepared for limited space in most places.
  • You might decide living in Holland is just your style!

It would help if you could hear the comments that the buyers say about the houses, but the music is to loud, especially on the International House Hunters. It is very interesting to see what is available in America and in other countries. Just wish we could hear them speak. We don't watch the ones where Gays are featured.

I agree with Mrs Justus. I am getting tired of House Hunters with gays and lesbians. Yes they are among us and I will not judge. This to me no longer is a family show, especially with the two women and one is pregnant. Remeber you don't need men!!! I guess you do.

House Hunter is not "my" show, but everyone has to live somewhere, sorry you don't like it anymore.
