Working from home presents many challenges from needing to create a home office space to noise issues. One of the harder issues that people don't expect is the loss of motivation. Many factors contribute to the problem, but here are some ideas to stay motivated.

Ask for feedback

Everyone needs a pat on the back once in a while. But when working from home, feedback on the quality of your work may be non-existent. This can cause anxiety if you're always worrying if your boss is pleased with your work. If this is a problem to the point of distraction, it is time to ask for some feedback on your work. Even if what you're told isn't what you were hoping to hear, at least you can stop worrying and focus on the needed changes.

Don't work too many hours

With the possibility of working unlimited hours, it's easy to have dollar signs in your eyes and get caught up in the moment. However, working too many hours will quickly lead to burnout. A set schedule may be impossible depending on the type of job that you have, but try to set a limit on the number of work hours in your day.

Leave the house on your days off

When unemployed, it's easy to justify staying at home all the time. But when you work from home, you have to get out of the house on your days off. Some fresh air and sunshine will go a long ways in keeping up your mood. Now that you're making money, it's okay to splurge a little to motivate yourself. If you give yourself a reward, even just a small reward, it will help maintain your focus. It is almost an investment if it keeps you motivated.

Don't change your diet

Convenience food is often too convenient to pass up when you have limited time for meals. While eating something is usually better than eating nothing, letting your eating habits take a turn for the worse will negatively impact how you feel.

Maintain grooming habits and exercise
