Nothing says "I love you" or "I really care about you" like the simple act of giving that special someone who you cherish dearly a handmade personalized card. The idea of doing such an act may put some of you off, as you might imagine the process to be time-consuming and expensive. It isn't--or at least it doesn't have to be. I have been making cards out of recycled materials for years now and I have made this process inexpensive and swift.

The first thing is to think about the individual who you are creating the card for. In our case, we are going to make Mother's Day cards for all those lovely women who deserve them on Mother's Day. Starting with one woman in particular-maybe it is your mother, step-mother, mother in-law, aunt, grandmother, female guardian, friend who is like a mother, etc, ask yourself: what does she like? What positive words best describe her? What is her favorite color?
