Five Nearly Free Beauty Tips

Despite what cosmetic companies want us to believe, your beauty regime doesn't have to cost a ton of money. Here are some of my favorite nearly free beauty tips.

Nearly Free Beauty Tip #1: Milk of Magnesia Face Mask

This mask is great for combination or oily skin. You'll need almost two tablespoons worth of Milk of Magnesia. Rub it full strength into your skin. Let the mask dry for 10 minutes and rinse with warm water. This mask soaks up all that yucky oil that makes our faces look greasy and
sometimes causes pimples. You'll need to follow it up with a favorite moisturizer.

Nearly Free Beauty Tip #2: Don't sleep in your makeup.

I know you are tired. I know you can't move one more step but sleeping in your makeup is hazardous to your skin. By leaving your makeup on while you sleep it grinds into your pores, causing inflammation and blemishes. Use a water-soluble cleanser and hit they hay. Your skin will thank you for it.

Nearly Free Beauty Tip #3: Brush your lips

You heard me. Brush those lips. After brushing your teeth, rinse off that toothbrush(Or Not. It's up to you.) and brush your lips. Do this once or twice a week so you can say goodbye to chapped lips. The result is a soft, subtle, completely kissable pucker. Your lipstick will go on smoother too.

Nearly Free Beauty Tip #4: Save your cuticles with olive oil

You have a huge bottle of it in your kitchen. On your way through open it up and rub a bit into each of your cuticles. It will keep you from getting hang nails and promote nail strength. No need to buy expensive treatments.

Nearly Free Beauty Tip #5: Sugar those feet

Again with the olive oil. Mix one part olive oil to two parts sugar and you've got yourself one mighty fine sugar scrub. Right after you shower or bathe, rub this concoction into your tootsies to remove dead skin. You can also use this mixture in shower to exfoliate your entire body.

See. Beauty doesn't have to cost a ton to be effective.

The sugar tip sounds interesting. I like to use olive oil on my hair, but of course it can cost more than makeup...use the cheap stuff! :-)
