Black Sweatpants (or Jeans)
White Fabric Paint (in a bottle)
White Puff Fabric paint (In a ube0
White Chalk
White Face Paint
Black Face Paint
Artist Paint Brush
Glow in the Dark Fabric paint (optional)

Wash your black sweat shirt and black sweat pants before you start making you Halloween costume. This is an important step that helps the fabric paint adhere to your clothing. Sweatshirts ad sweat pants are usually made out of cotton too, which has a tendency to shrink in the wash.

Start by laying out your black sweat shirt and seat pants out on a flat work surface.

Use your chalk to draw the outline of your skeleton bones onto the shirt and pants. Ribcage, arm bones, and the spinal cord should go on the shirt. Leg bones and the pelvic bones shoe go on the pants.

Use your white fabric paint and paint brush to fill in your skeleton bones. You may need to apply two coats to cover the black fabric easily.

Now, trace the outline of your skeleton bones with the white puff paint. This will clean up your edges and provide a three dimensional quality to the skeleton costume.

If you can find glow in the dark puff paint that would be great. The glow in the dark paint will add safety because you can see the outline of your skeleton costume from far away.

Once all the paint has dried you could brush on some glow in the dark paint at this time as well. This glow in the dark paint is a great idea for a kid’s Halloween costume. This will make them clearly visible while they are trick or treating in the neighborhood.
