Josh Ritter, at the beginning of the concert, took to the stage. He sung five songs from his previous albums. This man really knows how to make good music. I love all kinds of music. I have always been meaning to see Mr. Ritter live in concert. I know for a fact that he has played, once or twice, at The Paradise Rock Club on Commonwealth Avenue in Boston, MA. His new album, "The Animal Years", reminds me of the song, "The Animal Song", by Savage Garden. This particular album also reminds me of the song, "Animal Instinct", by The Cranberries. I had read somewhere that Mr. Ritter has ties to Somerville, Massachusetts. His home, however, is definitely in good ole Moscow, Idaho. I was applauding as loud as I possibly could after every one of his songs. Mr. Ritter really has a powerful singing voice. The songs that he sung at the concert were part country and part pop rock, but totally songs that any individual could indeed be mesmerized by.
There was a ten minute intermission in the middle of the concert (Between Josh Ritter's Concert & Jamie Cullum's Concert). Mr. Ritter explained that he met Jamie Cullum at a festival in England. They have been best buddies ever since.
I really must state that when Mr. Cullum came on stage he really stole the show. Mr. Cullum was indeed much better than any show or music video on MTV, the show, American Idol, and any late night talk show on television. The price that I paid for the concert was well worth the investment. (I was supporting both Mr. Cullum and Mr. Ritter.) One man stated, as he left the theater, at the end of the concert, that Mr. Cullum really has talent. I'm clearly not surprised. I always knew in fact that Mr. Cullum has had talent ever since he first came out with, his number one hit selling album, "Twenty-Something". Mr. Cullum sung some popular songs from this particular album at the concert - songs like "Twenty-Something" (One Of My Personal Favorites), "High & Dry", "I Get A Kick Out Of You", & "These Are The Days".
