Patriot's Day is celebrated in the state of Massachusetts and in Maine. This Patriot's Day is not to be confused with the newer Patriot's Day holiday celebrated in honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11.

This original Patriot's Day celebrates the anniversary of the beginning of the American Revolution. Patriot's Day is celebrated in the New England states of Massachusetts and in the state

Paul Revere Capture Ceremony: April 12, 2008

The Lincoln Minute Men re-enact the capture of Paul Revere. The even is accompanied by musical performances by the Lincoln fife and drum corps, the Middlesex County Volunteer Fifes and Drums and others, according to the Lincoln Minute Men.

The Paul Revere Capture Ceremony occurs on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 3pm. The Patriot's Day related event takes place at Minute Man National Historical Park located on Route 2A in Lincoln, Massachusetts. For more information please call (978) 369-6993.

North Bridge Battle Commemoration: April 19, 2008

The North Bridge battle commemoration will occur on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 8:30am at the North Bridge. NPS.

Militia March and Crafts:
April 19, 2008

Kids can start April Vacation with a bang. Enjoy Patriot's Day activities including learning how to march. Kids will also make their own militia hat that they can keep.

The day will also teach kids about the American flag according to OSV. There will also be a flag raising ceremony.

Tea and Revolution: April 19, 2008 through April 27, 2008

Families and school groups can join in the fun at the Revolution in New England held at Historic Deerfield. Participants will make design their own teacups, a craft related to the tea that started it all. Kids and adults will also make their own tea bags.

This history workshop focuses on the importance of tea during the American Revolution, according to Historic Deerfield.
