The Doctor is In!

The Fourth Series of Doctor Who Returns to BBC One Saturday!

David Tennant and Catherine Tate return with the TARDIS, some aliens planning something sinister, and a fair share of fun with the new series of Doctor Who, which begins Saturday, April 5th, 2008 on BBC One from 6:20pm to 7:10pm or 12:20pm Central Time.

My fellow Americans, we have to wait. BBC America does not show the new series as beginning any time soon and the Sci-Fi Channel shows the debut of Voyage of the Damned, the 2007 Christmas Special with Australian Pop Princess Kylie Minogue playing the ill-fated Astrid aboard the Starship
Titanic, and Partners in Crime, the debut episode of Series Four, to begin showing on Saturday, April 25th, at 7pm Central Time.

The episode Partners in Crime will see Sarah Lancashire guest star playing Miss Foster the head of Adipose Industries, a weight loss company that promises miracles and in which each person who takes the miracle weight loss drugs become hosts for Adipose aliens.

The Fourth Series promises Pompeii in the third episode called The Fires of Pompeii, The Ood will return in Planet of the Ood and The Sontrarans, another classic Doctor Who villain will return in the two-part story The Sontraran Stratagem/The Poison Sky, and the return of Companions (with Sarah Jane Smith, Captain Jack Harkness, Martha Jones and Rose Tyler all making appearances). The most interesting plot line to be explored involves The Doctor's daughter. According to sources that have leaked information on the tight-lipped project, Georgia Moffett (daughter of 5th Doctor Peter Davison) will play the result of a genetic experiment to clone The Doctor named Chloe. Will Chloe join The Doctor and his merry band of companions?

There is so much to look forward to in Season Four--my niece and I are both very excited about it. I spoke to her Monday night, and that was all we could talk about. It's going to be a lot of fun!
