Sometime back I bought the Coffee-mate Sugar Free with French Vanilla and strangely this tasted good. Honestly I expected it to be stale and boring because of the sugar free version. I was kind of surprised to find it almost tasty like the original Coffee-mate. I looked into the ingredients and that explained everything about the taste and flavor. You don't need to be an expert or nutritionist to understand the potential danger of taking partially hydrogenated oil in the coffee everyday.

I personally don't have any grudge with the Nestle but what irritates me is that they are projecting this as a sugar free creamer shrewdly without highlighting on the calorie and fat content. Now this is pure marketing and the responsibility lies with the users to scrutinize the ingredients and cross check with some learned source. It may not be a problem if you intend to take the Coffee-mate Sugar Free rarely on weekend or with friends.

But if you are a coffee addict and have the habit of washing down three to four cups a day, watch out for the slow and regular intake of fats that goes along with the drink. This will eventually lead to cholesterol and deposit fat. So do not get excited about this powder and plan to indulge your self with this creamer. The key is to use it sparingly. Compared to Splenda this tastes delicious and it is obviously because of the corn syrup and the fat. In my opinion the Splenda is healthy and if you are serious about fitness, go for that. Apart from that everything else is ok.

French Vanilla flavor is perfect without being subtle or strong. It gives the desired punch. Good news is that this does not contain lactose and it is one of the very few sweeteners that come with no lactose and sugar. It is not excessively sweet and use it according to your preference rather than going by instruction. This also comes in liquid bottle version and that is good for home use. Presence of sucralose makes it dubious.
