We all have our routine of keeping ourselves beautiful and fresh. Whether it is a night time regimen or a morning ritual, women know how important it is to keep up appearances. But there are tons of homemade beauty tips that we have learned over the years. It could have been passed down from generations of women in your family, or something your best friend just discovered and had to pass it on to you. Here are a few of my own homemade beauty tips that I have been lucky to learn.

TEETH: This one I learned from my best friend's mother. She mixed in a cup , equal amounts of baking soda and peroxide and brushed her teeth with it. After a while you accepted the taste because your teeth can look and feel incredibly clean. You can also mix water to dilute the mixture. I even used it when I had braces. You see the peroxide bubble and you know it killing germs too. That's always a plus, now your are kissable.

HAIR: You have to be over 21 to use this homemade beauty tip. Get your hair completely wet and pop open your favorite beer. That's what I said. You pour as much or as little as you want and work it through your hair like shampoo. Let it sit a minute and then rinse it out. Then continue to wash your hair as normal with your favorite shampoo and conditioner. It leaves your hair really soft, you can just do the beer rinse, but your hair will smell like beer for a few hours. That is why I recommend shampoo and conditioner after.

FACIAL: Get an egg out the frig and crack it open in a bowl. Take it to the bathroom and use it to tighten your skin and reduce the size of your pores. You wash your face as normal, then apply with your fingers the whites of the egg on your face. You apply it like a mask, and then leave it on until it dries. It does not peel off, so you wet a washcloth and rub it off gently. Baby soft and smooth, and it tightens skin. It is a nice change from the harsh chemicals we sometimes use to achieve softness.
