You can make quite a bit of money just writing online. A comparison with a normal job will quickly reveal that you can make a lot more writing online than with a 9to5 job. Writing online is much easier than some people think, and not only will it prepare you if you want to pursue a career in writing, but will also add enough in your pocket to pursue anything that you want.

There are many companies online that will pay you to write, not the least of which Associated Content, the site you're reading this on. Let's look at all these sites:

Associated Content – You have to be a legal US resident to write on Associated Content for pay, and older than 18 years old. You can make a very good amount of money over here. You'll be paid between $3 and $40 for your content, and generally between $4 and $15 for your articles. The articles must be over 400 words for you to be paid for them, and they must not be just your opinion about some issue. Associated Content comes out with some really good offers, with minimum payments for specific content. For example – Write about Top Ten Songs by _____ (artist) for $10 per article. There are conditions that go with them, such as – the articles must be at least 600 words and have a picture attached and so on, but generally, you can easily produce 2 or more in an hour, and that's really good pay, especially for working from home. Highly recommended. Of course, if you're not from the US, Associated Content won't be a great help as far as the money is concerned.

I sold for a company called, Ameriplan. I had to pay an X amount of money to get into the business, and I also was provided with a WEBSITE. The only problem the company had no providers in my area of Western Kentucky, and there were a million WEBSITES which looked just like mine. I didn't make a dime, but who knows with other multi-level marketing companies.

people who use Light in the Darkness should be ashamed of themselves for being a part of such scheme.

Delores, I'm assuming you meant that for MPAM. You're not paying them to be able to write for them. Writng for them is one of the ways they allow you to earn a good income with them. You pay them a monthly fee for the webhosting, the url tracker and rotator, the resale rights for everything they have, for the training they provide (and this is very under-rated training) and a host of other things that they provide. It's to avoid that confusion that they allow you to stay with them for a whole month before they ever ask you for a penny, and even then, they don't just automatically take that money out. You have to go out of your way to pay them. So I think MPAM is just fine. But I do agree that you should never pay someone to be able to work for them.

Paying someone to work for them is not cool in any context.
