The best things for a teen to do to maintain the natural beauty that comes with that age are simple, and easy, and they are free so mom and dad won't complain about spending too much money! The three best things for a teen to do are don't smoke, don't drink caffeinated drinks, and eat healthy. Don't even start to think about picking up a bad habit like smoking. Not only is a cause for lung cancer, it causes the skin to loose the natural elasticity that you body produces. This is one of the biggest reasons not to do it. With the elasticity getting loosened you will form ugly lines around your mouth, pout lines around your forehead, and lines around your eyes. It may not seem like it is something to worry about while you're a teen ager, but let me tell you. I didn't listen and now at 26 years old I am starting to get these ugly lines popping up on my face. It's not pretty.
Another thing that can cause poor skin is caffeinated drinks. Go ahead and drink one a day if you feel like you can't go on without it. But be smart and limit your intake of it. Caffeine may be a quick pick me up, but it's not good for your body. Plus water, milk, and fruit juices pack added bonuses with them. Water is what your body needs the most and it will help regulate your weight, seeing as how it is naturally calorie free. Milk will help build strong bones, and there are studies going on to prove that milk helps maintain a healthy weight, bonus! Fruit juices, not fruit drinks, are great providers on the antioxidants that your body needs to help fight off cancer, and keep you healthy. All of these are much better choices to put into your body, the only body you will ever have, instead of caffeinated drinks.
