Weekends are just perfect for three of life's most delectable delights. Good times, eating delicious food, and getting together with friends. Sandi, one of my oldest and best friends, will soon be taking courses abroad in Greece. For this reason, Sandi needed a tasty introduction to the mouth-watering world of Greek food. What better reason is there to enjoy a fabulously filling feast of home style Greek cuisine?

During our recent dining experience at, "Ambrosia Greek Restaurant" in Rockville, Maryland, Sandi and I were deliciously delighted that we made such a terrific restaurant choice. We found the waitress to be friendly, helpful, and very attentive to our needs. Although the restaurant was fairly small in size, I was very pleased at how wheelchair accessible the restaurant was. The accessibility of public places is a very important part of equality in society for all people with disabilities.

For Sandi's main entrée, she ordered a Chicken Souvlaki Platter. The Chicken Souvlaki Platter consisted of a generous-sized Chicken Souvlaki Sandwich. The Chicken Souvlaki sandwich was topped with iceberg lettuce, fresh tomatoes, and homemade cucumber sauce. As part of the platter, the Chicken Souvlaki Sandwich was served with a side of fresh cut French Fries and a drink.

I love lamb. Whenever I eat out at a Greek Restaurant, I use the occasion as a terrific chance to satisfy my inner lamb lover. My dinner out with Sandi at, "Ambrosia Greek Restaurant" was no exception. For my main entrée, I chose a mouth-watering Gyro Platter. The Gyro Platter consisted of a generously-sized Gyro sandwich. The Gyro Sandwich consisted of homemade pita bread. The Gyro sandwich was filled with a generous portion of savory lamb meat topped with lettuce, tomato, fresh feta cheese and homemade cucumber sauce. For dessert, Sandi and I split some delicious homemade warm caramel flan, a house specialty.
