Keep those dust bunnies from multiplying.

They are here, they are there, and they are everywhere. All of us have dust bunnies hanging around somewhere in our homes. They can be hiding underneath our bed and in the corners of every room. I think that their favorite spot to hide stay is down inside of all those tiny little ventilation holes on our electronics.

Electronics are an expensive piece of equipment and dust gathers inside of all of it as well as on top of it. Keeping the electronics clean in your home is a great way to help that piece of equipment to not only work better but it will last a lot longer too. Here is what I do to clean the electronics around my home.

Stereo System:

I take several Q-Tips and I go along the back side of the stereo and get down into all of the vents and around all of the plugs and connection wires. I also clean around behind the speakers where they connect to the stereo.

CD Player:

Using Q-Tips I run them along the crevices on the top side and then I lift the cover up and clean around the inside where CD sits and clean all around inside of there.

TV:

I use as many Q-Tips as needed and I clean down in between the ventilation holes along the top and the back side and I clean around all of the plugs and connection cables and wires from the back side.

VCR/DVD Player:

Using the same regimen I clean all of the connection wires and plugs on the back side and on the front if the VCR I open up the little door where the VCR tape slides in and clean around on the inside as much as I can reach to do so.

Computer:

Computers have many crevices and air vents to them so I take some Q-Tips and I open up the door to where the CD's go into and clean all around this and I also clean out each ventilation crevice. The little fan that is on the back side of my computer also gets a thorough cleaning out. I clean around all of the connection wires, cables and plugs too.

I actually sell a product my a family friend designed that keeps electronics dust free for months. Monster sells their product for $20 a bottle. Mine is $8. It's called Star Glaze. It's phenomenal. Good read.
