Raising us had to be so hard on you.
When dad left we knew you were blue.

We tried to do what you told us was right,
But being kids was our plight.

We made several mistakes day in and day out.
You made certain that we would see it out.

All the hard work and extra jobs,
Made us realize we are like hogs.

So we slowly changed in our own way,
Which has lead us to where we are today.

Your children may still make mistakes,
But your love and joy still brings us cakes.

You love us no matter what,
Even when we are so distraught.

Mother, you have endured so much in your life,
I hope on this special day you have no strife.

Mothers like you are very rare.
You treat others with great care.

God blessed us when he made you.
We are his blessings to you.

When times get hard you may not always have an answer,
But, "Praise the Lord" you don't have cancer.

As children, even though we are adults now,
We do not always see what was done for us by thou.

Your cakes and pies,
Kept us quite high.

Your first aid came just in time.
The doctor did not ever get your last dime.

Mother's day is but once a year.
This is your time to shout and cheer.
