Start with the bridal party. The smaller the bridal party is, the less your wedding will cost in the end. For instance, for every bridesmaid you have you have to purchase a bouquet of flowers and have to buy a bridesmaid's gift for in addition to the numerous other expenses there are and can be. Reduce your bridal party by one attendant on each side and you can easily save a few hundred dollars! However, having a few bridesmaids and groomsmen can also save you money when purchasing wedding attire. Many bridal shops will give you a discount on the cost of the bridesmaid's dresses if you purchase a certain number of dresses from one shop. Get your bridesmaid dresses and wedding dress at the same shop and ask for a dual discount. One for your dress and one for your bridesmaids. I'm sure the bridal shop will be willing to accommodate you rather than risk losing the business of a bridal party. Likewise, if you get all the groomsmen to rent their tuxedoes at the same place, the groom can often get his tux for free. Another good savings right off the top!
