In Warwickshire, England, at Gaydon, sits the impressive architecture and design of the Aston Martin corporate headquarters. The design of the building is as spectacular and outstanding as the design of the Aston Martin line of automobiles. One can clearly tell that the Aston Martin company is all about class, sophistication, cutting edge looks, and quality.

Yet, even with the stunning looks of both the vehicles it manufactures and the buildings that house its corporate headquarters, the actual hallmark of the Aston Martin line is in the quality and means of production of this vehicle. In a world of automation, speed, and efficiency, the Aston Martin line has decided to take things a whole different direction.

Each and every Aston Martin is hand built, custom made, using the highest quality parts and the latest technology. The result is a distinctive driving experience that is unique to each owner. Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford, the founders and innovators of the Aston Martin product line, desired to build a vehicle line in which each automobile had its own individual character, and that dream lives on today.

This vehicle line, of British origin, is now owned by Premier Automotive Group, which is a division of today’s Ford Motor Company, a little known fact by many. Currently, the Aston Martin website lists the following models: Vanquish S, DB9, and the V8 Vantage, along with the ability to custom design and build your very own Aston Martin.

Like many other cars of its high performance class, the Aston Martin has a racing history, which really boomed the car’s sales in the early 1900s. However, in 1929, the company folded and closed its production doors. Later that same year, a group of wealthy investors banded together to recreate the Aston Martin and once again, the Aston Martin was racing its way to fame on some of the most prominent racetracks in the world. Then, unexpectedly, the Aston Martin was pulled from racing venues.

Nice article. Short on hard facts, but a nice intro to Aston-Martin. However, the James Bond franchise is certainly not infamous. Famous, maybe, but not infamous. John Gotti is infamous. Al Capone is infamous. James Bond is famous.
