Is John McCain Too Hot-Headed to Be President? New Bio Claims McCain Called Wife Cindy a "C---" in Presence of Reporters

"The Real McCain" Shows Arizona Senator to Be Foul-Mouthed & Abusive Towards Colleagues & Family

U.S. Senator John McCain, the 2008 Presidential nominee-presumptive of the Republican Party, has a legendary temper and apparently has even dropped the "C-Bomb" on his wife Cindy in public. Former U.S. Senator Robert Smith (R-NH), a colleague of
McCain on the Senate Armed Services Committee, said, "I have witnessed incidents where he has used profanity at colleagues and exploded at colleagues.... He would disagree about something and then explode. It was incidents of irrational behavior. We've all had incidents where we have gotten angry, but I've never seen anyone act like that.."

John McCain himself admits to having anger-management issues, when he's not denying it. In his autobiography Worth the Fighting For, the Arizona senator wrote, "I have a temper, to state the obvious, which I have tried to control with varying degrees of success because it does not always serve my interest or the public's."

McCain's memoir was published in 2002. Like he has proved with his stands on many issues over the years, John McCain is very changeable -- much more the typical politician than his press and self-declarations would lead the casual observer to believe* -- and one of the issues he has flip-flopped on is his characterization of his temper. The Baltimore Sun in its March 20, 2008 issue quoted McCain as denying he is a hothead: "Just because someone says it's there, you would have to provide some corroboration that it was. Because I do not lose my temper. I do not."

He elaborated further on the issue: "Now do I speak strongly? Do I feel frustrated from time to time? Of course. If I didn't, I don't think I would be doing my job. But for someone to say that McCain became just angry and yelled or raised my voice or - it's just not true. It's simply not true."

To paraphrase Shakespeare: Methinks the Senator doth protest too much.

The assertion that he is master of his temperament is curious as two days before the Sun article was published, he admitted he has anger-management problems. Speaking in Sottsdale, Arizona, McCain admitted, "I have had a bad temper in my life."

Thank you for that information. As far as I'm concerned, being a hero in the army does not make a person a great president.

most are blinded by color and cannot not see or hear the real truth. i too served this beautiful country we call america. our military stands on integrity and honor. i am not going to place any attack on any candidate but the realism of it all is that we as americans are still blinded by the color of ones skin instead of their true merits. i am not asking anyone to respond even though it will most likely eat at you not to, but in the quiet of your home inside your room sitting on whatever, have integrity and honor with yourself. who is the better candidate?

Someone paraphrased McCains actions and demeanor as that of a cheating spouse. Perfect analogy. Maybe Dr. Jeykle and Hyde?

It sounds like one of those stories they gossip about where Michelle Obama publicly humiliates her busband by saying stuff like "you aint' all that much... and throwing kitchen stuff at him. Which possibly explains the phobia.

I'll take a hot tempered Patriot and American hero, someone that loves this country and will lead with honor...over a Marxist, terrorist, anti-American sympathizing deceiver..

Well, I just finsihed reading your story of what you think of John McCain, which I disagree with greatly. I also have met, spoken with and attended several of the town hall meetings that John McCain held while here in New Hampshire. I only heard you mention attending one event in Manchester, big deal. I attended at least nine (9) of his town hall meetings, and which each one I attended I learned something new about John McCain that I did in fact love about him. First is that yes he does in fact "Straight Talk", and maybe that is what you can not handle nor like about him. Well, I fully disagree with all you've written about John McCain. So what if he graduated low in his class, at least he served in Vietnam, what if any type of service have you given to our Country except for blowing off at the mouth here about a "True American Hero", which I doubt very much you are or ever have been. My two oldest brother's both served in Vietnam, and it was a hell hole place to be, and thankfully

If Obama had used the "c-word" in public - it would be on Fox News 24/7.

If he is calling her the c word in public, what is going on at home ??? He is too hot tempered to be Pres and too unmotivated, he graduated 5th from the bottom of his class at the naval acad.
