A Child's Prayer

Dear Lord, I'm on my knees just to say,

That I want something from you today

You've taken my worries: that I know

And since I've been saved, you've helped me to grow

You've healed my body of all its ails

You've even put the wind back in my sails

So what do I want?

To know you more than I do now

Letting the Spirit dwell; in reverence and bow

All my members to praise your name

My life also to do the same

Knowing you, Lord, is the greatest walk

Your name on my lips when I talk

I cannot repay anything if I asked

The blood of Christ was due for the task

I want to know you, Lord.

Speak in your Word; tell me of the truth

I'm ready to listen to your timeless sooth

The noise of the day is far too much

In silence I will know your touch

I want to know you Lord.

Ivan, Christ said unless we come as little children we will not see the glory of God (Kingdom of Heaven). So, from one child to another, this was a wonderful rhyming poem!
