A Guide to the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 Smart Phone
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 has a 3-inch 800x480 pixel touch screen with an arc slider QWERTY keyboard, a four-way key and an optical joystick. It uses a Qualcomm's MSM7200A processor running at 528 MHz powered by the new 1500mah Lithium-Polymer battery.
Xperia X1 also has an integrated 3.2 MP camera with touch auto focus and with video recording function, X1 is a quad-band GSM phone with 3G support and with WLAN, Bluetooth and aGPS connectivity.
Xperia X1 will include 128MB of RAM, 600 MB of internal storage, a microSD slot and a mini-USB port. The smart phone is 110 mm wide, 17 mm tall and 53 mm thick (4.3 x 0.7 x 2.1 inches) and weighs 145 g (5.1 oz).
Xperia X1 interface
Xperia X1 has a customizable panel interface with a maximum of twenty panels, which can be customized according to user preference. The device can be navigated using the touch screen, the arc slider QWERTY keyboard or the 4-direction navigation key and optical joystick. The X1 can recognize handwriting and comes with a stylus.
Connectivity
X1 has 3G HSDPA/HSUPA, Wireless LAN 802.11b/g, GPRS/EDGE and HSCSD support which allow users to connect to the internet at high-speed and to connect to public Wi-Fi hot spots.
Music
The Sony Ericsson X1 uses Windows Media Player as the default music player, has direct access to PlayNow 5.0, and you can still use it to listen the radio. The device has hi-fi audio streaming between handset and Bluetooth headsets and supports FTP and HID profiles.
