Humor - What it is like to Be Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Have you ever wondered, “what is it like to be a grilled cheese sandwich?” Who is better to ask than an actual grilled cheese? I am a grilled cheese sandwich named Sammy. I have an unique personality for a sandwich. Maybe it is because I was cooked for exactly four minutes in a toaster oven, or maybe it is because I am made from real American cheese, fresh whole- wheat bread, and exquisite butter. Everybody asks, “are you healthy?” Well, not only do I look good, but I am an excellent source of calcium, and I am low in carbs and calories. So even the most health conscience person would be delighted to have me as their lunch. I have two dreams. The first one is to be eaten. We all have a place in this world, and mine is to make a child happy by consuming me. My second goal in life is to visit my cousins in France. They are French toast. I am torn between two worlds. I really want to be eaten and see the smile on that person’s face. After sitting in the scorching hot toaster oven, I deserve it! On the other hand, I’ve always wanted to visit France! I guess my chef will have just have to cut me in half so I could do two things at once! Well, that’s exactly what he’ll do, cut me down my middle. What is better than to fulfill two dreams at one time? All aboard the American Airlines and au vois, I’m off to France.
