Happy Mother's Day! Mom and Grandma have opened the cards and donned their traditional corsages; where now to take the family for a celebratory brunch? We share some of the local favorites to select from when it's time to take Mom out on the town.

How about a truly memorable brunch on board the Star of Knoxville Riverboat? The special Mother's Day brunch is $29.95 per person, $17.50 per child plus tax. You can make a reservation online or by calling 1-800-509-2628. The cruise starts boarding at 11:30am and last until 1:30pm.

Table Fifteen Bistro and Bar (11383 Parkside Dr) offers brunch from 10:30-2:00; the buffet includes shrimp cocktail, mimosas, and bloody marys. The adult menu is priced at $17.95 and features quiches, frittatas, pizza, fruit, and desserts ranging from cheese cake to the Chocolate Peanut Butter Stack. Children 12 and under can get the buffet for $6.95. Please call 865-675-1721 for reservations.

The Crown and Goose pub (123 S. Central Street) has the newest brunch menu in Knoxville, ranging from $5-$30. A unique take on Eggs Benedict includes crabmeat and a thick slice of fried green tomato instead of the usual English muffin. Good bar selection. Don't expect speedy service. Other great favorites include:
Italian Market & Grill, 9648 Kingston Pike, 865-234-8464. An amazing selection of pastries, salads, ham, roast beef, and pastas in addition to the manned omelet and waffle bars. You will not be able to try everything, although you'll want to. $10-$20.

Copper Cellar, 7316 Kingston Pike, 865-673-3422. Brunch is 10:30-2:00; try to get there early to get the best selection. The buffet is $14.95 for adults and $7.95 for children. There is an unbelievable selection of desserts, cheeses, salads, fruit, biscuits, and meats to satiate you.
