I love Chinese Food. I grew up in New York and used to go to Chinatown frequently and often ate some dishes that I wasn't even sure of what I was eating. Later in my life, whenever we traveled to a city with its own Chinatown we would always make a point of going there. The best, besides New York is, in my humble opinion, in San Francisco...but alas, I live in Miami so I have search out and try as many Chinese Restaurants as I can, all over the city. Though I do tend to stick to the South Dade and Miami Beach areas, closer to home.

Here are a few of these Oriental eateries I consider the best.

I'll start with my favorite;

One: New Chinatown

Located in the South Miami, it is considered an "institution" in the area and has been for over 20 years. The food they serve is always top of the line in quality and preparation since they use all natural ingredients, and use no chemicals, preservatives or processed meats. Their menu is extensive and I always go thinking I will have something new, but I end up with my favorite meal, Lobster with Ginger and Scallions. What an exceptionally delicious dish. They even have live lobsters in a tank so you know that your meal is as fresh as can be. They are a bit pricy though, having just recently raised their prices along with a new menu. A meal for two can be had for $30 and up, but for lobster, expect to pay more. You can't go wrong at this 4 star restaurant. They deliver and you can order ahead for pickup.

Location:
5958 S Dixie Hwy
South Miami, FL 33143

Two: Original Canton Restaurant Of Dadeland North

Also in the South Miami area, the Original Canton's is noted for their scrumptious Canton Steak and fantastic Honey Chicken. They have an extensive menu with quite a variety of delicious food. They state they use only the freshest ingredients in their dishes and as far as I'm concerned the taste of each dish confirms that, they too make a wonderful Lobster dish which I order often. Their prices have also gone up recently with main courses in the $15 to 20 price range.

Great list! I must remember this when I return to South Fla. I was one state away during a recent road trip down south. Thanks for sharing this.

I love Chinese too. We have a Formosa Restaurant in town and it delivers. I order out once or twice a month... yum!

I love Chinese food but I could not get to the second page of your article to finish reading it. It said "Content Producer Inactive." This system is so screwed up right now.
