In many bathrooms storage in the vanities is a hassle or not an option with the original vanity set up. While many bathroom vanities have an area under the vanity, keeping it organized is another story.

Under the Bathroom Vanity Container Storage Options

Depending on whether your bathroom has a single or double sink vanity, will depend on the size of containers and how many you will need for this area of the bathroom. Vanity sizes can limit your ability to use them as a place of storage in your bathroom.

For a single, sink vanity in your bathroom, plastic shoe boxes or smaller wicker or cloth style containers will work for this area the best. In the plastic shoe boxes, you can store makeup, hairbrushes and combs or curling irons in them. With the smaller wicker or cloth style storage containers, you can store makeup, make brushes, hair accessories such as ribbons, barretts, and pony tail holders.

For double, sink vanities, you can use double the amount of shoe box containers for individual family member items. You can also use larger containers for larger items such as toilet paper, personal spa items and cleaning items.

If you can place one of the plastic file holders under the vanity, this will work well for cleaning supplies. Even if this container will not fit under the sink in the vanity, you will have your cleaning supplies all in one container and out of the reach of little hands.

Hooks can be placed on the inside of the vanity doors. The hooks can be used for hanging small bags that can store bathtub toys, razors, facial cleansers, body scrubs and scrubbers or similar items.

On top of the Vanity Storage Containers

There are many types of stylish baskets that can be coordinated with a bathroom's color scheme for "out in the open" storage. These types of containers can hold such items as cotton balls, q tips, makeup sponges, and other items used on a daily basis.

Takeaways
  • Shoes don't need storage containers they belong on your feet.
