Every Friday at 6 p.m., music lovers head to downtown Atlanta for summer concerts. They are free or at low cost, and continue through June, July and August. Past concerts have featured India Aire, John Mayer, Uncle Kracker, Maroon 5, Shaggy and Hootie and the Blowfish. For more information visit onthebricks.com.

Coming up June 6-7 is the Adelily Festival in Adel. Vendors of all types will showcase their wares, and there will be family entertainment and a special kids zone. Attendance is estimated to be at least 5,000. For more information call 229-896-2281.
Also during those two days is the 5th annual Day Lily Festival in Gray. There will be a 5K race, a Fun Run, food, horseshoes, a kids train ride, pony rides, entertainment, food, and - of course - daylilies. Estimated attendance is 3,500. For more information call 478-986-5199.
June 14-15 will bring the Blairsville Scottish Festival in Blairsville. The event's high points will include clans, pipe and drum bands, athletics, Scottish music, food and vendors, exhibits, children's games and a concert. Estimated attendance is about 8,000. Also during those two days is the Sweetwater Creek Summer Festival in Lithia Springs. There will be a juried arts and crafts festival, plus lots of great food and fun for the whole family. The event will take place at Sweetwater Creek State Park, and estimated attendance is about 3,000. For more information call 404-895-1134.
Not to be left out, Decatur will welcome summer with a splash.
