Mothers Day Poem

Mothers Are a Special Class

There are poems and then there are people
The things on paper can't quite capture the nature
Of the women who stand in the places
For their children throughout the ages

Mother's are from a special class
One that they can claim all their own
Of those who sacrifice their lives
For the children they have been given

The forgotten professions, forgotten plans
The day they held their babies in their hands
All came to naught when they saw
That child's face and heard them coo

Throughout the centuries and the ages
Mothers have held special places
In the lives of their families
And in the eyes of adoring teens

So on this special day of the year
Let us all remember and draw near
To the mothers who have loved us all
And let them know we love them so

This day should be celebrated year round
Because a mother's love never slow down
Chasing children...raising kids
Their days are always full of this

Remember your mother, call to your wife
Hold out your arms and hold them tight
Thank them for all they have done in your life
And let them know they have excelled in your sight.

Happy Mother's Day to all those special mothers around the world! You are appreciated and loved and you are doing a great work in raising your children!
