Is This a Good Choice?

According to reports filtering out of Hollywood, Lindsay Lohan may appear nude in her next film. This report seems to have piqued the curiosity of many, however the report appears not to be true. The question seems to be, in my opinion, "So What?" If a star chooses to appear nude for a film does it really matter? There are many things to think about in this type of case and the first and foremost, which no one seems to be asking or talking about is...would the nude scenes be important to the storyline.

Everyone involved with the Hollywood rumor mill seems stuck on the idea of Lindsay nude. We've seen it. It's nice. But we have seen it. Does it matter? Not in the least. She's young, she has a nice body but that isn't really the issue. From the photos grabbed by the celebrity photographers, with her breasts falling out of her tops to the layout for the New York magazine, the issue of Lindsay nude is really a "non-issue".

Would a nude scene help her career? Well, I don't see her career as doing poorly. A quick rundown of the movies she has been in shows that they've done very well. Her first film, the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap, did very well, as did her follow-up, the remake of Freaky Friday in 2003, which earned Ms. Lohan two Teen Choice Awards and an MTV Movie Award and grossed $161 million in box office totals worldwide. She also won Teen Choice Awards for Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen in 2004 and Mean Girls, also in 2004. Her 2005 movie, Herbie Fully Leaded, landed her a Kids' Choice Award and the ensemble film A Prairie Home Companion did very well at the box office. Her 2006 film Just My Luck only took in $38 million in worldwide box office totals.
