San Francisco 49ers 2008 Schedule

Today the NFL released the schedule for all 32 teams. The 49ers will open the regular season on September 7th at home against the Arizona Cardinals who the 49ers have opened the previous last two seasons against

Arizona each splitting 1 game apiece. Next on September 14th the Niners will be traveling to Seattle to face last years NFC West champion Seahawks.

On October 5th defending AFC champions the England Patriots">New England Patriots come to San Francisco it will be Tom Brady's first NFL game in San Francisco. Two weeks after the game against the Patriots the Niners will travel to New York to face the Super Bowl champion New York Giants. On week nine (Nov 2nd) the Niners will have there bye week. Following the bye week the Niners will have a Monday Night Football game against the Arizona Cardinals in Arizona.

On November 23rd, the Niners travel to Dallas to face the Cowboys a team they faced many times in playoff games in the 90's. The regular season finale will be December 28th in a home game against the Washington Redskins. The only nationally televised schedule game is the November 9th game at Arizona however, the final eight weeks of the season have flex scheduling which means a game could become nationally televised. Out of the 13 different teams that the Niners will face five of them made th 2007 playoffs and they will face both teams who participated in the Super Bowl.

I'll say this about Alex Smith, the last 12 games he's started healthy he's 7-5, I wouldn't throw him under the bus just yet.

I'm the biggest Niners fan you'll ever meet. I'm sorry, but the best thing that will possibly come out of the upcoming season is the #1 draft pick in 2009

I think the niners could go 10-6 at best, maybe 11-5 but that's suprising, their whole sucess next season depends on if Mike martz can make better QBs out of Smith, Hill, and O' Sullivan. They brought in better WRs, Have good backup RBs, & the defence is upgraded (Especially DE, & LB). But the position that needs to play well in 2008-2009 is the QB.
