The Fame Name Game: Does Your Name Attract Fame & Wealth?

Donald Trump, Steve Jobs & Warren Buffet Have Business Ready Names

What's in a name? For some of us, it seems our names can point to how much we're worth - at least in a financial sense. Names may not mean everything where it counts, but as our first impression to the world, they do offer up an image or convey a vibe.

Wealthy types don't always have a name, which is synonymous with profit, finance or the business world, but if you look at some of the most successful rich guys, their name seems more than fitting in relation to their social
 status.

Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs has held many jobs in his day, but it's as Apple CEO that he's most identified with and how he made his fame and fortune.

The man with the working sounding, wage themed name created Apple with buddy Steve Wozniak. Over the years, Apple has given us the versatile, artistic friendly Macintosh computer, which morphed into the Mac, or iMac. This success then led to the iPod, iTunes and the iPhone. Jobs also started Pixar, the computer graphics company responsible for movies like Toy Story and Finding Nemo. After merging with Disney, Jobs now counts corporate entertainer as just another one of his jobs.

Bill Gates

Born in 1955 as William Henry Gates, this global cyber icon possesses a name, which makes you think of opening up into another place or a portal to perhaps another world. With Microsoft, the opening of the Windows OS gate led the world into a more sophisticated computer landscape.

The Seattle based PC guru's name Gates also makes you think of logic gate - a technical term used by computer chips manufacturers like Intel and AMD. Even the science fiction hit series StarGate: SG1 & StarGate: Atlantis further the notion of a gate travel to discovery and perhaps finding rich rewards.

Donald Trump

Born Donald John Trump in 1946, New York City's most famous real estate tycoon boasts an appropriate name. As a deal maker and breaker, he's always engaged in the art of the deal.
