Both men and women have to deal with those unsightly stretch marks. It is especially important for women to get rid of their stretch marks after they have given birth. Stretch marks are basically scars that show up on your but, hips, arms, and on your abdomen. They can basically show up anywhere. But is laser surgery really a safe way to get rid of them?
Many doctors and researches feel that laser surgery has proved to be one of the most effective ways to get rid of stretch marks. Of course as with any type of treatment there is no one hundred percent guarantee that it will completely eliminate all of your stretch marks. The purpose of the laser is to help regenerate the amount of collagen that is produced. So the claim is that is can basically erase the stretch marks from your skin. The good thing about this type of treatment is that it is virtually painless, and you do not need to be put to sleep. Most doctors will recommend that you use some type of stretch mark cream, both before and after surgery. The down side to this type of treatment is that it can be pretty expensive. It will depend greatly on how bad, and how many stretch marks you have. This will determine how many treatments you have to have. The cost ranges from about $2000 to $4000 per treatment. This being the case you will definitely want to think long and hard before you decide to go ahead with this type of treatment for your stretch marks.

hi i'm 17 and have had stretch marks since i was 12. 1st they were on calves. now they are on my inner thighs, hips, bum and a few on my breasts. i always wanted to do drama and acting but we've nasty things on my body no one would look at me twice i feel. i sometimes cry looking at them. then feel bad because there are people with worse things in the world. i've tried telling my mom and sister but they don't understand. plz help me someone. plz xxx

laser but he made it sound very painful and horrible, this doesn't help my fears and worries, so I would like to know if anyone has had laser and if it helps and if it is as painful as it sounds... I need to know contact me dinglezdorkz@hotmail.com

Look I'm 14 almost 15 I have stretch marks all over my thighs,bottom and some on my calves, hips and breasts. I feel very self conscious, because I know why I got them..When I was twelve I gained heaps of weight for no medical or diet or lack of exercise reason I often blame myself for them and don't understand why cursed God me with them... I have talked to so many people about them; Mum, friends..None of them understand or have seen a stretch mark in their lives.. My mum got some on her hips and thighs when she had me and when she gained weight but they're barely visible, well I can't even see them.. She keeps saying they will fade with time and that I am young so my collagen will regenerate itself quicker and even my local GP says that most stretch marks when you're young disappear..But since I have been losing weight they have become wrinkly and even more repulsive...I am constantly searching things on the Internet about them and have visited my dermatologist who has recommended la

I had a baby at 18 and now im left with strechs marks on my tummy and upper legs i want to have laser to get rid of them or even tone them down a bit so if anyone knows about this PLEASE help me out i feel horrable with them i cant even look at myself GRSS doesnt even come close to what i look like

ok well im 15 and i got stretch marks when i was twelve bekuz i grew to fast. [im reaaaally tall] now im 15, and i still hav stretch marks. these thngs are groooossss. i hate going swimming. everybody else has clear skin. and wats worse is that im slim with stretch marks. so when i tell ppl i dnt like to show my boddy, they fuss at me. is ther any way for me to get rid of these with out speniding too much money? will they b gone before i finish highschool? :(
