When at last we checked in on big brother 9, we discovered that Sheila had nominated Adam and Sharon with the expectation that anyone but Natalie would win power of veto and Natalie would be placed on the block and voted out. Another sacrificial lamb on the altar of big brother, so it seems. Adam follows the directions of the house's 46-year-old Mom and former penthouse pet of the year, winning the POV and insuring that Natalie will be nominated in his stead when he removes himself from the chopping block.

Natalie, in true Natalie fashion, is clueless that she is the next one to go and tries to play both ends against the middle, a play that quite frankly irritates all involved. A "house meeting" is called and because Natalie is dying her hair, the meeting is moved to the bathroom. A move, which frankly makes a lot of sense, as she is the one the meeting is about in the first place.

When faced with the question of where her loyalties lie, with the guys or the girls, Natalie wisely says "the guys". This is probably the brightest and yet dimmest thing she has done so far in the game. As there will be two votes from the guys this week, they hold eviction power in the palm of their testosterone charged hands and Natalie, perhaps consciously (though I suspect it is unconsciously), knows this and throws the girls under the bus for the guys. When the lie of convenience doesn't seem to work, she tries another approach. She cries.

Of course this play makes Adam feel somewhat guilty and he contemplates letting Natalie stay for "one more week" a statement that causes Sheila to ask him if he has any "spine or kiwis", an interesting turn of a phrase if nothing else. Adam takes it badly as only Adam can and calls Sheila a "b$tch", thus causing his exit from the HOH room. Sheila is not happy. And for the record, I'm not sure being on Sheila's bad side is necessarily the best place to be. Something tells me that this woman has not gotten as far in life as she has, by being all peaches and cream. This cat has claws and knows how and where to use them to her best advantage.
