The Best Sushi Restaurants in San Diego

The Best Tastes for Sushi Lovers (and Haters)!

I am a great sushi lover. So when my husband' job sent him to San Diego, I had to use that opportunity to explore the city of San Diego, especially its sushi houses. Below are some of the places I found and thoroughly enjoyed what I got from them.

Taka Restaurant 555 5ht Av, San Diego, California 619-338-0555
Sushi Restaurants in San Diego
Neigborhood: Mission Valley/Pacific Beach
San Diego, CA 92108
United States of America
I love this house because they have the best assortments of sushi and sashimi. They serve sushi in different varieties including king crab, tuna, halibut, salmon roe, and whatever kind of sushi you dream, they got it. I particularly love their California and scallop Rolls. The wrappings are fresh and the taste is great. You will not have a day-old sushi in this house! The price is very reasonable too, so when ever you are in San Diego and you feel like Sushi, pay them a visit. The ambiance is excellent.

Haiku Japanese Restaurant 1520 Garnet Av San Diego, California 858-270-2589
This authentic Japanese Sushi and restaurant is located near Pacific Beach in San Diego. It is well known for its fresh sushi and steaks. Sushi assortments include tuna, salmon, red snapper, albacore, salmon egg, and much more. You will get your money's worth and the ambiance is great, just a hop from the beach. Words have it that you will learn how to write Haiku after eating sushi here (lol)!

Wasabi Sushi 2662 Garnet Avenue, San Diego, California 92109 858-272-2275
The Wasabi Sushi sign is eye-catching immediately you get off the freeway and onto the Avenue. This house has myriad of seating arrangements from the sushi bar that sits over fifteen, to the calm outdoor patio to the newly remodeled dining. It serves various tastes of sushi including rolls and more rolls, nigiri and sashimi. I love spicy rolls, so I tried their spicy tuna smothered with avocado, cucumber, and jalapeno. If you love hot stuff, this one will satisfy your crave. The ambiance is not all that great from the outside, but once inside you will not believe that you almost made a u-turn out of the restaurant. It is one of the unusual finds in sushi-dom.
