Everybody's heard it, it's on the radio, in commercials on television, mentioned in movies and featured as a prime time TV drama; what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Unfortunately as tourists we can't stay in Vegas. Spending a few days being pampered, shopping 'til we drop and cashing in comps make it hard to leave SinCity. In fact the glorious accommodations the hotels offer make it hard to leave the room.

I recently had the distinct pleasure of visiting Las Vegas with my husband on a business trip. We were given a marvelous concierge suite in the VeneziaTower at The Venetian. All I can say is that you won't hear me complaining about their service. When we arrived, we were immediately whisked away from the gathering congregation of guests checking in and out from the main lobby, past a security guard and into private elevators with our luggage loaded onto the bellman's rack. When you stay in one of the concierge suits you don't stand around like so much cattle, you are treated like a guest of honor. The bellman filled us in on all the weekend's many attractions; telling us where we could get tickets to the hottest shows, discount coupons and other wonderful weekend bounty to be had. It was a nice touch that he could offer so much information in the short time it takes to rise twelve floors in an elevator.

Upon arrival upstairs we were greeted by two concierges at the elevator door and seated in a private registration area. We were offered cocktails and snacks while they checked us in and offered to let us browse their library of DVD's along with a complimentary bag of popcorn. The process was fantastic to say the least. I almost felt bad for the people downstairs who had been standing in line for half an hour…almost.

Did You Know?
Staying in a concierge suite gives you access to a private pool 24 hours a day with poolside drinks and entertainment.
