Growing Up - A Father's Day Poem

I saw a face full of smile
when god brought me into your life
you held me up in your arms
assuring me that i will face no harm

As i grew up to be a man
you stand up by my side hand and hand
your always their when i need
saying i can accomplish anything if i want too

Your words is a kings command
to be respected all the time
you set the rules with your guiding hand
for me to follow in becoming a man

now that i can stand up by my own
its time for me to apply what i have known
soon i will become a father just like you
i will teach my child what i have learned from you

I, your son saying thanks to you
for all the knowledge i have gain from you
on this special day just for you
i shall always remember you.
