One of the most exciting and thrilling scenes in early part of Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone was when Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter took to the sky during a flying lesson. Professor McGonagall ordered them to stay on the ground but you knew someone was going to ignore her instructions. When Lego designed the companion set to the scene they included the basics but it left most fans of the film less than impressed. While it is a small set it is one of the easiest ways to stock up on Harry Potter related elements.

Both the Malfoy and Potter figures are represented nicely but you do have to keep in mind that you are dealing with Lego pieces and you are not getting exact replicas of them. They are clad in their respective house uniforms, Harry in Gryffindor and Draco in Slytherin but the crests on the uniforms are small. There are two black cloth capes that can be added to the figures but they are not a necessity. The brooms that come with the set snap easily into their hands but getting them to 'fly' on them isn't the easiest of tasks.

The Flying Lesson was one of the less expensive sets in the series; when it was first released it was selling for about $3.99 and the two figures alone were worth that price. If it were just the figures that would have been fine but it also comes with a small ground based cart, Rememberall, two brooms (bewitched of course) and capes for both of the figures. It is an extremely small set but the figures can be used with any of the Harry Potter sets from any of the series.

While commonly referred to as The Golden Snitch, the magical object in this set is the Rememberall that Draco made off with after Neville dropped it. Unless you see it up close it looks like just another clear Lego element but when you give it a closer look you see the gold accents and detail to it. The Rememberall is nothing more than a clear head peg but done up in this fashion it looks incredible. The details on it can scratch off so if you are planning on playing with it, you may want to consider using a sealer on it to protect it.
